in Bucks County
Tinicum Township has an almost endless number of creeks and streams. Tohickon Creek to the west and Tinicum Creek running through the center are the two largest. There are several other named creeks such Beaver, Rapp, Swamp, and Smith Town but there are many more unnamed creeks.  Just turn down any road in Tinicum Township and you will be following or crossing one creek or another as they wind their way through the valleys and thickets.  Also there is much evidence of colonial activity along many of the creeks as you will see old mills, dams, stone farm houses and many, many stone walls.
