in Bucks County
Tinicum Township rises up from the Delaware River to the east and extends west to Tohickon Creek where it borders Bedminster Township. Tinicum Township is one of the most scenic in Bucks County, it's hills and valleys are laced with numerous creeks, streams and old stone walls. Around every bend in the road is a new scene. It is still possible to find yourself on a dirt road that crosses one of the many creeks in Tinicum Township and when you get to the creek find there is no bridge. It is scenes like this that make you feel you are far from the beaten track when traveling the back roads of Tinicum. Along with the many old stone farm houses it also has 3 covered bridges, 2 parks and a large area of state game land. If you were going to explore just one township in Bucks County, Tinicum Township would be a good choice.
