Morrisville Trees

I am sending some pictures from a tree planting the Morrisville Environmental Advisory Council coordinated on Saturday.  Dave and Janet Rivella donated 5 maple trees to the Borough - we planted 3 at Borough Hall
and 2 at Willaimson Park by the stage area.

These wil be lovely trees that will provide shade and beauty, along with the all the other benefits of trees.

This is the kind of investment in Morrisville we hope to see more of.  We're doing our best for our old hometown.

Debby
Thank you Dave and Janet for really working hard to make Morrisville a better place, and thank you Debby for the pictures.

Here are some pictures of the Manor Park Playground Tree Planting from Saturday.  26 people showed up to help to plant 10 large balled and burlapped trees - elms, oaks and yellowwoods.

The trees were provided by PennVest, part of the green infrastructure initiative of the Federal stimulus program, and coordinated by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

The Morrisville Environmental Advisory Council coordinated the project.  We have been looking for funding for several years, so we are especially pleased to finally see trees in the ground.  This makes 70 new trees since 2008!
