These first two pictures were sent to us by Howard Davis, Morrisville High School class of 58. Howard informed us he moved away from Morrisville in 1966, and now lives in Washington state, but even after all these years he still has a fondness for this great hometown. We are told these pictures were taken in the late 40's or early 50's. They are ball teams from Manor Park, and predate the Little League.Great pics Howard, thank you very much. You can email Howard at: Hd1940@msn.com .

This picture of The "Old High School" and Summerseat came from the 1944 Morrisville yearbook and was given to us by Alice Mott South.
These last six pictures were sent to us by Leon McCauley of North Delmorr Avenue. They were taken along Delmorr Avenue just north of the present day Morrisville Pool. These are really great pictures from the 1930s.
This first picture taken in 1932 shows Leon throwing a ball to his neighbor friend. This picture is actually looking across Delmorr Avenue (the small dirt road seen at the left). The bridge at the left is the foot bridge that crossed the creek that made the "Island" an island. The creek is not visible, but the bridge is in the approximate location of the entrance to the pool parking lot.
This picture of Leon was taken a few years later, but is again looking across Delmorr Avenue and the creek. Although again the creek is not visible because it is lower than surrounding land, the trees in the background are actually on the "Island". The small dirt road at the end of the walkway is Delmorr Avenue.
This is a great picture of the creek at the north end of the "Island". That is Trenton, NJ in the background. It looks like large chuncks of ice have been left behind from higher water.
This picture shows a great view of Delmorr Avenue looking north from just beyond and across the street from the present day Morrisville Pool. The houses at the left are still there today, they are actually on the right side of Delmorr Avenue heading north at the bend just past the ball fields. Looking between the trees at the center is the entrance of the creek seen in the picture above. The NJ State Capitol building is just visible in the background at the right and yes those are cows.
This picture showing one of the floods that predate the dike was taken near the same vantage point as the picture above but some time later as another house has been added next to the two seen above. If you go to the "Morrisville Floods" page you will see another view of these houses in the flood.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Leon McCauley for sharing these wonderful pictures with us. It really gives an interesting look at north Delmorr Avenue and the "Island".
This picture taken in the 1950s is from the same spot as the two pictures above. Note the group of trees is the same, but the creek has been filled in and the dike is in the background.
