Memorial Day parades have been a tradition in Morrisville for many years. Seen here the parade is heading down Washington Street about to pass under the railroad bridge.
The next two pictures were taken from the same spot as the picture above, but a different year. Notice the twin gables on the house in the picture below are covered by trees in the picture above.
We don't know if this is either of the parades seen above, but it is taken from a different location. This is looking up Bridge Street toward the humpback bridge over the canal. It is interesting to note that the large black banner is being carried by the organization, "Ancient Order, Knights of the Mystic Chain". Next time you drive through down Morrisville, look up and you can still the letters "AOK of MC Hall" carvered in the stone work next to the Stockham Building.

This parade was not one of joy, but rather to mourn the lose of Morrisville's first causality of World War I.
