The Robert Morris Hotel was at the corner of Bridge Street and Mill Street (now Delmorr Avenue). This is the present day location of a motor cycle shop, and was previously "Wamsley Pontiac".
A panoramic view of the Robert Morris Hotel shows railroad tracks still in place along Bridge Street, and the intersection of Mill Street (Delmorr Ave.). The houses to the right in the background are on the Island, and the white fence is on the bridge over the creek that made the Island an island.
This photograph is labeled Washington Street Crossing. We think this is near the location of the present day municipal parking lot in downtowm Morrisville, as that was the location of the original tracks running through Morrisville. There is still one set of tracks left today that run down past the Dairy Queen, and along the river.
Believe it or not, this is actually Pennsylvania Avenue looking north from Bridge Street. The present day bank would be to the right. The building that the men are looking at is "Young's News Stand" and it is decorated for a wedding. The taller building with the window dormers is actually next door. These windows are easily recognizable today.
Looking closely at the blow up of the banner above, the name "Young" can just be made out at the bottom right.
This picture has been enlarged so the signs are readable. Note the sign that says, "Before one Young, now two Youngs, next Young ones".
We think this picture is looking across the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Bridge Street, with the Rubber Mill in the background.
This Morrisville hotel stood on the corner of Bridge Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, across the street from the pictures above (present day location of the bank).
Not quit as old as the pictures above; the Stockham Building shared another corner of Bridge Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Pryor's Drug Store was on the bottom floor for many years.
