With the New Jersey State Capitol Building in the background, on the other side of the Delaware River, it is easy to see where this section of Morrisville got its name. In reality however, it is not visible in most of the neighborhood. The Capitol View section is the area at the north end of Pennsylvania Avenue near the Morrisville Shopping Center and up to Lafayette Avenue. The other streets are Maple Avenue, Hendrickson Avenue, Franklin Street, Stockham Avenue, Harper Avenue, Crown Street and Hillside Avenue.

The "A" field and Capitol View Elementary School (now a day care) lie at the heart of the Capitol View section.
The Morrisville Firehouse on Pennsylvania Avenue at the end of Hendrickson Avenue
Cunningham's Hardware, next to the firehouse, has been serving Morrisville since the late 1940's.
The Morrisville Library at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and Palmer Avenue, was originally the Episcopal Church.
The Delaware Canal, seen from the end of Maple Avenue

Looking down Hendrickson Avenue toward the Morrisville Firehouse. The gate into the "A" Field is to the right.
Stockham Avenue is lined with large sycamore trees.
The Capitol View section is a wonderful family neighbor. The shopping center, the "A" field, the river, the canal and Williamson Park are all in walking distance. Here are just a few interesting homes in the Capitol View section.
