Born in New York State, the Delaware River flows unimpeded to the Delaware Bay. Marking the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the Delaware River wraps around Bucks County where its energies are lost to the tidal reaches of the Atlantic Ocean.  While the upper sections of the river are used for recreations such as boating, fishing, and tubing, the lower river basin is tidal water, and a deep ship channel is utilized by large ocean going freighters.
